Ferries From the UK
Brittany Ferries offer crossings from Portsmouth to St Malo, Caen, Le Havre & Cherbourg ( fast ferry summer only), Plymouth to Roscoff & Poole to Cherbourg. A 10% discount is available on Brittany Ferry crossings. Please contact us for the booking reference number to claim your discount.
We are most easily accessible from St Malo (1 hour 45 minutes’ drive from the port to La Marmoire). However the crossing takes a long time and an overnight crossing (12 hours) is probably the most comfortable.
The crossing from Caen is about 5 hours, the fast ferry to Cherbourg 3 hours or the cruise ferry 4 hours 30 minutes from Poole.
La Marmoire is 3 hours drive from Roscoff & Cherbourg & 2 hours 30 minutes from Caen.
There are no toll roads from all Brittany ports to La Marmoire ( Tolls from Le Havre).

Driving Directions from the port
Any good Sat Nav system or Google maps will bring you to La Marmoire on your chosen route.
Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. The drive from Calais will take about 6 hours.
Check out raileurope.com for rail travel from London St Pancras to Rennes via Paris. The entire train journey takes about 5 hours and can be booked on line.
Eurostar will take you to Paris. Cross Paris via underground train from Gard du Nord to Montparnasse where you will pick up a train to Rennes. Recent upgrades to the line mean the train from Paris to Rennes now only takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. There is a one hour train journey from Rennes to Chateaubriant (booked separately – SNCF) but be sure to check your connections as they only run about 4 times a day!
La Marmoire is a 45 minute drive from Rennes if you wish to hire a car.
Tram Train A new rail link from Nantes to Chateaubriant gives you the chance to enjoy a country/city break. Take a transfer bus from the airport to the centre of Nantes & catch the tram to Chateaubriant. We are happy to pick you up from Chateaubriant station.
Follow the roads signposted to Laval on the D771. You will then pick up a signpost for Soudan. Follow the signposts along the Rue 11 Novembre.
You will pass a village signpost for Soudan on the right hand side. Pass Le Yin Yang Brasserie on the right hand side and the next road on the right leading to the village. As you pass the second right hand turn, turn immediately left into Rue Joseph Belliot.
Continue along this road which, after passing houses on either side, leads into a country lane. Continue straight ahead for 2 kilometers.
La Marmoire is signposted, the second turning on the right hand side. Take the turning. You will come across some farm buildings and a derelict house. Continue past these, following the bend to the right. La Marmoire gates are at the end on the left hand side. Enter the driveway and park at the end.
